Involvement

During the time of shelter in place, and while I was searching for a job post-graduation, I decided to volunteer with with Levare, an organization meant to amplify the Black community by helping Black-owned businesses create an online presence. The project I worked on was originally a business called Occasions by Criselda, but rebranded and is now Meaningful Occasions. I was the User Experience Designer in charge of designing the website.

Process

After meeting with the company owner several times, I gathered information on what she wanted her website to do and look like. I first came up with paper prototypes for each website page and confirmed with our team.

Then, I used Figma to build a prototype for the website before handing off to our SquareSpace developer. I also worked with our graphic designer to finalize a color palette and the layout of the graphics on the website.

Here is a Figma link to the prototype I created.
